Bachelor of Software Engineering (BSSE)

The BSSE is a four-year professional degree program to be accredited by National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) consisting of the core courses in science, mathematics, programming & computing along with an option of Specialization courses in Software Engineering. The Specialization courses are offered in close collaboration with National & International Software Industry requirements so that students are well prepared for their changing trends and demands. Students have to complete 153 credit hours with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and undergo internship in the industry to earn the degree. The modern IT technology is utilized to impart knowledge through lecturing with the use of audio visual aids as well as practical hands on training in the labs and through case studies and projects. The Curriculum is designed as per HEC recommendations and provides core knowledge of breadth as well as the in depth knowledge of specialized technologies like Knowledge Management, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Software Project Management, Software Quality Assurance & Testing. Team and individual projects are assigned during various courses as well in the last semester to inculcate team spirit, coordination and team work as well as leadership qualities in the students.. The degree program endeavors to produce graduates who could find jobs in a wide range of public and private sector enterprises as well as pursue graduate degree programs at prestigious institutions of higher learning.
