To maintain the quality education amongst its students, Faculty of Social Sciences has started Faculty Development programmes. Most of the
experienced and qualified faculty members share their experiences and problem solving skills with their peers to enable each other to work out problems at their ends.
These seminars are conducted after faculty's need analysis and help the module not only to improve but introduce teaching methodologies to enhance the learning capabilities of the students. The topics for this programme range from Discipline, Communication Skills, Social Capital, Curriculum Development, Modernization, Modern Teaching Methodology to Management System.
This sharing makes transferring knowledge more efficiently. These programmes aim at recognizing a problem, defining it, discovering solutions and rationalizing alternatives to enable the faculties to progress in all fields of specialties.
The approach to these programmes varies from formal to informal depending on the topics and the resource persons. The Vice Chancellor has shown interest in developing the AU faculty.
