The Faculty
of Engineering, with over 800 students, is the largest
faculty in Air University. Degree programmes are offered
at undergraduate level in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication
Engineering, Software Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering
while Master's programmes are offered only in Electronics
Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. There are
over 50 faculty members teaching Electronics and Mechatronics
courses. These are supported by about 10 faculty members
from the Basic Sciences. The faculty consists of professionals
with high qualifications in their respective areas from
some of the most outstanding universities in the world.
Teaching is carried out in the form of lectures supplemented
by tutorial sessions to develop problem solving skills
while experimental knowledge is provided through hands-on
laboratory sessions.
The constituent departments are well served
by electronic, computer, microprocessor, signals processing
and robotics labs.
There is a workshop with lathe and milling
machines and associated equipment to provide students
with essential engineering practice for manufacturing.
