After the breakfast, the group A boarded their buses and drove 16 kilometres north to small town of BATAKUNDI. At BATAKUNDI, the group took Jeeps to the beautiful medowns and vast green grounds of LALAZAR
After spending few relaxing hours at the beautiful and serene LALAZAR, the group returned to NARAN for a very late lunch. The group spent the rest of afternoon relaxing by walking around and shopping the the market of NARAN City
After spending the second night in the Youth Hostel, on the morning of Saturday, July 25, 2009, the group took the jeeps to famous Lake Saiful Muluk (Elevation 10578 ft). The lake is accessible by a 14 km Jeep Track from Naran during the summer months. The group A reached the Lake after 45 minutes drive in the jeeps. The water was, as always, clear with a slight green tone. The clarity of the water comes from the multiple glaciers all around the high basin which feed the lake. After few hours of sightseeing, the group returned to NARAN city for lunch
Since they have too much time left in the day, few members of the group decided to add a challenging recreational activity to their trip. Around 20 members of the group walked to the Kunhar River and boarded up the inflatable boats for white-water rafting. It was an experience like none other resulting in extreme excitement and thrill for the passengers of the boat.
After spending the third night in the Youth Hostel, the group drove back on the morning of Sunday, July 26, 2009 and reached the city of Islamabad in the evening.
