Future Projects

The growing threats in Cyber Security, existing high profile cyber-attacks in Pakistan and national and international skill gaps in cyber security require immediate action to start this national project the “establishment of the National Cyber Security Academy”. The National Cyber Security Academy built at Air University (AU) is anticipated to have cutting-edge academic facilities. The project is planned to be complete in 3 phases.

In first phase, a six-storeys building with two basements having covered area of 1,38,000 SFT would be constructed. In Phase-2 new academic programs in cyber security will be started and in Phase-3, a national cyber range, academic labs, classrooms, research & development labs, faculty offices, and cyber security incubation and business center equipment procurement and establishment will be done. The project is expected to start in December, 2022 and would be completed by December, 2024.

Establishment of Air University Campus at Nowshera is essential for higher educational needs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Nowshera being a home to certain public and private sector organizations has a higher density of potential students for a well reputed university like AU. The campus would go a long way in educating and training the young potential available amongst the 35 million strong population of the province. Project is planned in phases. As first step in Phase-1 lease deed is finalized by KPK government and land measuring 225 Kanal and 14 Marla is provided to Air University.

Signing Ceremony of Air University Nowshera, Campus Lease Deed for 225 Kanal 14 Marla land was held at AU Islamabad on 25th October, 2022. Vice Chancellor along with AU directors, Deputy Commissioner, Nowshera and officials from Air Headquarters attended the ceremony. Speaking at this occasion Vice Chancellor Air University, Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed (Retd) emphasised on importance of higher education needs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. While speaking to guests Director Planning & Development Air Vice Marshal Khawar Hussain (Retd) gave an overview of two other campuses of Air University at Kamra and Multan. He highlighted the linkage of higher education with the market demand for increasing employment opportunities for students.

AU South Campus Phase-2 consist of two Academic Blocks and a Cafeteria. Development work on the project will start as soon as Phase-1 is completed
