Unfair eans Policy

SOPs ON USE OF UNFAIR MEANS BY CADETS DURING TEST / EXAMINATION

Introduction

Examination plays a vital role in any training institute to evaluate the cadet’s performance and learning. CFT gives due weightage to examination in general and its conduct in particular. These SOPs lay down guidelines for avoiding the use of unfair means by cadets.

Purpose

The purpose of this SOP is to assess/evaluate the cadets of all branches at CFT by taking different kinds of tests/examinations and award of punishment if any cadet is found using unfair means during tests/examinations. The guilty cadet must receive exemplary punishment to avoid repetition of such occurrences.

Applicability / Scope

This SOP is applicable to cadets of all branches, reporting at CFT for training.

Procedure

The students are warned against the use of unfair means and advised to surrender notes, papers or other unauthorized material before the commencement of the examination. If any cadet is found using unfair means or assisting another cadet during a test/examination will be liable to disciplinary action. The question papers and answer books will be taken away from an examinee who will be detected using unfair means or assisting another candidate, and the matter will be reported to the Superintendent/Deputy Superintendent of examination. The Superintendent will record available evidence to be used as written proof later. If the invigilator considers a cadet a source of disturbance in the examination hall, the cadet will be asked to leave the examination hall and the matter will be referred to the Board of Studies.

5. Use of unfair means generally covers the following: -

  • (a) An attempt to have access to the question paper before the test/examination.
  • (b) Use/possess unauthorized reference material during test/examination.
  • (c) Any form of communication by the examinees with anyone in or outside the examination room, while the test/examination is in progress.
  • (d) Unauthorized entry into the faculty’s office or that of his/her staff with the intention of having access for tampering with any of the official records, especially records in any shape related to exams of the cadets.
