Hardware Security and Reliability Lab

Lab introduction:

This research group conducts research on emerging areas in hardware system security and reliability including embedded systems, wireless sensor networks (WSN), internet-of-things (IoT), FPGA and ASIC. The lab research initiatives range from CS and EE domain including implementations Securing Platforms against software attacks using state-of-the-art hardware based security solutions such as MPU, MMU, ARM Trust Zone, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) etc., applicable to constrained, sensitive nodes in different applications ranging from industrial networks to implantable and wearable medical devices deeply embedded in human body. Part of our research group also works on the reliability of embedded systems particularly computation and communication challenges introduced by the unpredictable and intermittent energy supply resulting from ambient harvesting and wireless transfer in the IoT.
