National Centre for Cyber Security (NCCS) Air University Islamabad

Federal Minister for Planning and Development inaugurated the Centre.

Federal Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal inaugurated the National Centre for Cyber Security (NCCS) on Monday, 21st May 2018 at Air University (AU) Islamabad. The minister said establishment of National Centre for Cyber Security was his dream which had now been fulfilled.

Mr. Ahsan Iqbal (Federal Minister Planning Commission), Dr. Arshad Ali (Executive Director Higher Education Commission), Dr. Athar Osama (Member S&T & ICT Planning Commission), AVM (R) Faaiz Amir (Vice Chancellor Air University), AVM (R) Tariq Matin (Director Academics AU), Air Cdre (R) Muhammad Saleem (Registrar AU), Air Cdre (R) Afzaal Ahmad (Director ORIC AU), Prof. Dr. Kashif Kifayat (Director NCCS AU), other senior AU Officials, all directors of NCCS partner Labs, and numerous dignitaries were present at the occasion.

Vice Chancellor Air University AVM (R) Faaiz Amir delivered the welcome speech. He articulated that NCCS would work as centre of excellence and create a significant impact for Cyber Security Research and Development in Pakistan. Other senior officials representing AU had mentioned that NCCS shall play positive role in promoting R&D Culture in specialized areas of Cyber Security.
