--> Tourism and hospitality industry is one of the booming industries in Pakistan. Recently, Pakistan has laid great emphasis on promoting this industry both at the domestic level and international level. Air University has been the pioneer in the Islamabad and Rawalpindi region to launch BS in Tourism and hospitality Program (BSTHM) in 2019. The BSTHM program is a course-based program, which equips the graduating students with fundamental and base-level knowledge of tourism and hospitality industry.
The program aims:
--> To enhance students’ awareness about the growing importance of the tourism and hospitality industry to our society, nation and the world.
--> To develop an understanding of the scope of tourism and hospitality products, services and issues.
--> To develop an understanding of general and specific approaches to activities and operations management in tourism and hospitality industry, such as, food and beverage services, travel and tourism services, events, conventions, mega conferences, and exhibitions.
--> To enhance self-confidence and the ability to evaluate tourism and hospitality business issues critically and scientifically and to develop solutions from ethical, professional, and academic perspectives.
--> To prepare students to become potential entrepreneurs of the industry.

Final Project
Final Year Project (FYP) is mandatory for all the graduating students. The FYP relates to the real-world business or industry examples. Student teams visit firms to understand their operations and issues to apply their theoretical foundation in a real-world setting.
Summer Internship
Eight-week internship during summer vacations is mandatory for all the graduating students. This provides the students an opportunity to understand the corporate environment by having real hands-on experiences.

Minimum 50% marks in F.A/F.Sc., A-Levels or Equivalent
