After an amazing and successful “CodeAir 1.0”, a coding competition that helps participants enhance their coding skills, Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador- Air Chapter managed to pull off another exciting CodeAir. This time by the name of “CodeAir 2.0” and with more amazing opportunities for the participants. This event was possible because of the long hours put in by the team.CodeAir 2.0 aimed to empower these students by enhancing their coding skills and presenting them with valuable opportunities, such as connections with industry experts, job prospects, career guidance, and of course, delightful refreshments and souvenirs. The event's primary focus revolved around empowering others, guiding them in exploring various technological abilities using Microsoft products like Azure, Power Platform, Visual Studio, and more. Through enlightening seminars, immersive coding boot camps, and comprehensive training sessions, the CodeAir chapter had already impacted over a thousand students, both within and beyond their campus, throughout the previous year. To make this event truly grand, Air University extended a warm invitation to other universities to join forces and contribute to this inspiring endeavor.The event day started off with a blast. With 52 teams tuning in, 6 of them from other universities like FAST and 200 participants in attendance.Then came the event's honorable judges, Shaheryar Tatari and Shaheryar Ehsan. One of these judges being an ex-CodeAir winner and our sponsor (Shaheryar Tatari).Like last year, the competition was divided into two categories: the Alpha category was made for students in their junior years of first and second year, while the Beta category was made for those in their senior years of third and fourth year. The event got underway at 09:00 AM in the Air University library. The MLSA Air Team went through the competition's rules and regulations with the participants. Each team had to finish all two rounds in both the Alpha and Beta categories to move on within a 4 hour time span.The winners and runner-ups were announced. Team ‘CyberFreak and Brainstormer' were the runners-up and team ‘D4C’ were the winners of the Alpha category, while team 'CodeAlpha' were the runners-up and team ‘SE-20’ were the winners of the Beta category. The winners Alpha and Beta competitions received cash awards of Rs. 15k and 20k respectively, while the runners-up were awarded a Cheezious gift card.The ceremony ended with a cake cutting to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of CodeAir and a beautiful musical performance by Omair Rajpoot; President Air University Music Society.MLSA-Air and Air university showed the beauty and potential of such competitions and the benefits it can bring on a society and the country overall. This is the only way we can bring forth talent and give them a platform to show the world what they got and what Pakistan is made of.
